Lean Manager m/f

Principal accountabilities

– Participate to the implementation of the Lean methodology
– Lead the continuous improvement effort in each zone of the factory
– Develop and implement robust systems to increase safety awareness, production and operational efficiencies for reducing losses and minimizing costs.

Major activities

– Drive continuous and long-term performance improvement through Process Oriented Management (i.e. involvement of the staff into the zone, simplification of the flows).
– Help for using structured methods & practical tools to drive improvements (safety program, problem solving groups, root cause analysis, work instructions, 5S, etc.)
– Animate each board with the zone leader/manager
– Animate & train the Lean champions (1 per zone)
– Able to drive losses mapping and understand all the production flows.
– Improve efficiency planning and implement initiatives.
– Share CO2 reduction ideas with all the departments of the factory.

Technical skills:

– Industrial Engineer
– LEAN expertise
– Extensive problem solving with analytical skills and the ability to apply reason, logic and date to influence others to get the job done
– Manufacturing (production, maintenance, engineering, …) experience in a large company recognized as a leader in LEAN / performance management (automotive, packaged goods, …)
– English fluent
– Food industrial experience would be a plus

Human skills:

– An ability to understand the vision of the Continuous Improvement (CI) effort in alignment with a strong business growth and improvement strategies.
– Energy, enthusiasm, smart intellectually, ability to convince and communicate, demanding for himself
– The ability to serve as a change agent who is able to “make it happen” while building positive relationships on a foundation of trust and mutual respect.
